MEMBERSHIP CATEGORIES

SMA offers several membership tiers tailored to different stakeholders in the space technology ecosystem:

Ordinary Members: Malaysian companies (startups, SMEs, MNCs) directly involved in the space sector (e.g., satellite manufacturers, launch services, aerospace firms).

Affiliate Members: Government agencies, research institutions, universities, and non-profits engaged in space or related tech fields.

International Members: Foreign-based organizations with an interest in collaborating in Malaysia’s space industry.

Individual Members: Professionals, academics, and enthusiasts in the space tech field who wish to contribute and stay informed.

(All members enjoy voting rights at the AGM except Affiliate/International members – details per SMA’s constitution.)

How to Join

Joining SMA is simple:

Apply Online: Fill out the membership application on our official website (e.g., via an online form). Choose the appropriate membership category and provide the required details.
Membership Review: Our Membership Committee will review your application (for eligibility and category). First-year fees are waived for applications received in 2025.
Confirmation: Upon approval, you will receive a welcome packet and your organization will be listed as a member of SpaceTech Malaysia Association.
